Regarding closed meetings:
As landowners in North Glastonbury we are concerned at the boards intention to move to an even less inclusive form of board meetings and their representation of the land owner association members. Additionally, we are concerned that some board members do not want to be held accountable for their statements and actions and apparently feel this a reasonable position.
We have only owned land here 4 years, but in that time we have been pleased to see more transparency, increased responsiveness and inclusive consideration of the land owners interests, input and opinions. When we first arrived in North Glastonbury, conversation regarding the GLA was centered on the board exclusive of association members.
It was a couple years before we completely thought through the fact that the GLA is the landowners’ association– not the board’s. We have no idea how this became so skewed but we have been pleased to see the changes that have been happening and hope to see those changes toward transparency and inclusiveness continue.
